DIARY / Peggy Update: Winter Cuddles!

In my last blog entry about Peggy, I mentioned she would be introduced to Francis.

For a rough timeline, we adopted her on the 27th of September and a few weeks after, we let her have free roam of the house. This was after we saw her and Francis interact. She seemed to trust Francis more than she trusted us. She'd follow him around while he would completely ignore her.

Francis always sleeps on our bed with us and Peggy would sleep in her small nook in the window or on the cat tower. I noticed she began to venture on the bed and soon enough, she was there, with Francis, sleeping with us every night.

Still, even with her roaming around the house with Francis and sleeping with us every night, she wouldn't let us touch her.

Soon enough, Francis and Peggy began becoming closer. It first was initiated by me, carrying a sleepy Francis and placing him next to Peggy, who wouldn't mind so much especially with the cold winter temperatures.

Peggy let me touch her and pet her on the head for an extended amount of time on the 17th of November. Let it be known, I was the first to pet her (not Jonny)! 😉

She's definitely come out of her shell. She sleeps with us every night, she meows loudly at breakfast and dinner time, she will shove her head under your hand if you place it close as if to say "pet me!"... Just yesterday both Jonny and I were able to pick her up! It's a weird feeling because she's missing one of her front legs. It's like holding a furry football.

Things have been going well and I'm so glad she's a part of our family and really feels at home!
